Society labels me a Transvestite

Hi, and welcome. My name is Dennis or Denise (Kenike in Hawaiian) depending on my chosen gender expression.
I am married to Madeline my loving and supportive wife. We have three grown children, who are also supportive, free thinking and loving people. Society labels me a Transvestite. After years of living with the burden of shame and guilt this imposed title carries, I now with the support of my family, am finally proud of who I am. Although I was aware of my feminine feelings at an early age, the pressure of social conformity was paramount and overwhelming. It is difficult to be at peace with yourself contrary to society's norm, but when we cannot find contentment in ourselves it is useless to seek it elsewhere.

Crossdressing is part of your personality, an expression of who you are. These feelings will never go away. Crossdressing is not an illness so there is no cure, only acceptance.

Madeline and I feel a large part of our business is within the support counselling area. Our personal empowerment workshops are based upon the psychosynthesis philosophy developed by psychiatrist Dr. Roberto Assagioli in conjunction with the powerful healing qualities of Hawaiian Bodywork which teaches us to centre ourselves through meditation and to balance our mind, body and soul freeing our spirit to find a happier healthy life.

for we need to be role models for our children and for the children not yet born."
